In this article it is explained highly in depth on how F-Stops work in Photography. Aperture is found to be the mechanism and f-stop the measurement of engagement of mechanism. In the aperture you have control of how much light you like to add. It controls the amount of light it's hitting the picture. The smaller the lens are the larger it is for the picture to be either zoomed out or in with a blur background and concise focus.
