A Picture in Depth

•    There is a symmetry, if the picture was cut in half, both side would have a tree in it, regardless of the detailed background

 

•  The color makes the subjects more attractive.
• The texture is soft, as well ask the sky and the mountains in the back
• The ground seems to be a bit rough
• The cross is tilted a bit to the right and makes the picture sort of look more into the background, specially back to the mountains, you can consider this a leading line
• The viewpoint could be standing right in front of all the subjects
• The frame is perfect, capturing both the trees on the side and the cross in the middle
• All elements are balanced perfectly

I think the intent of this picture is to symbolize a certain event, it's as if something could have occurred there, maybe it's a landmark for territory. I feel like the cross takes you into the back of the mountains. This could be a large property of somebody and this is only one part of the whole place.The cross could mean many things, maybe a holy place, a tradition, to symbolize security.
