Hidden Object Game

My game's Learning Topic is knowing how to identify Healthy and Unhealthy foods. How certain amounts of food are good and bad for your body. The most important thing I want players to learn is to know what is considered healthy and what is not. Know how to chose the right decision when it comes to eating. I researched top healthy foods. I was surprised with some foods because I never thought they would be considered healthy, turns out they are super healthy. I also learned that there are many foods that are unhealthy for you but eating them in small amounts won't bother you. At first all I wanted to do was show unhealthy foods in a restaurant to provide info about what you might like to eat. As time passed I started to think, well, what if the player doesn't know what healthy is? That is when I added healthy foods to the restaurant. Put some healthy food ideas out there for the player. I think the most useful ingredient for me has been a message box. It benefits my game and the player. It provides a small thought for the player, either to congratulate or notify an action. A magnifying glass has also been helpful for me because it can help the player find the hidden objects easier. The instructions for adding game ingredients in the help center or tutorials are very useful. Adding my last game ingredient: Magnifying Glass was the most difficult for me. It was my first time adding a magnifying glass so it was expected. The code was confusing to me. I overcame this difficulty by going back to the tutorial and doing step by step once again. I also had help from one of my classmates, he helped me fix the scene so the magnifying glass would zoom into where you are pointing at. I am mostly proud of the magnifying glass in my game. I think it's a really nice touch for the game. It makes it interesting and much more fun I think.

Game Ingredients Trouble

Adding 3 game ingredients to my game was alright. The 3rd added ingredient, which was hard, was the most difficult for me to add. Adding the magnifying glass was easy but the zooming wasn't. It was my first time adding  zoom to my game. So, everything was in it's place but the magnifying glass wouldn't zoom in at everything. It would zoom in the door when the magnifying glass was on the chair. I thought the mask I had added was the problem but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that I hadn't added a square over my scene, so it could zoom in at every corner. I received help from a really really talented classmate of mine. He is the one that helped me realize what the problem was. Later, I fixed the problem.
