Science Game: Deforestation

While I was playing and exploring the science games I knew and thought that the game: Can you stop Deforestation was going to be my favorite and best game because I love spreading the word about everyone helping to stop deforestation, everybody must know the risks and what could happen if they don't spread the word about it or give a hand to our world.

The reason why I really liked this game was because the player or who ever person plays this game will know what to do after they have played this game, for example I mean that they will know what they can do after they have been done.

Something that I learned about the game was that now I should really help stop deforestation I don't want the world to be dying I wanna help and make a difference, like the said: "MAKE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD".

The thing that is cool about this game is that you have fun playing while at the same time you learn something from it-the game.

Globaria

My name is Arlette and I am a student at East Austin College Prep Academy and I am working with part of Globaloria at school, I am 12 yrs old and my thoughts about Globaloria is that it is very fun to work with except that it is kind of hard to work with when you get to the Flash part
well actually it isn't that hard its that the Flash codes and all that stuff make you become confused. Globaloria is fun and entertaining.

With Globaloria we are creating a Flash game and every game that the teams are making are made in Flash after they are done with that we are going to do a game presentation and who ever is the judge will pick the team winners and they will win.

(I think that's all that I have to say about Globaloria)

Flash: Demos
Working with the Flash Demos was kind of hard at first but now that I gave gotten through I feel more comfortable and easier with it.
At first It was very hard because my computer didn't have a timeline and that caused it to hard and understandable, but after that Ms.Miller helped us by going over it to see if everyone was good with it or had it in their wiki.
The most and only reason why I didn't understand Demo 3 was because we had to use the frames and that's hard for me to understand because you have to make them move or out stops in them. All Flash kind of confuses me but then once I have practiced over it and worked on it I get better at it.

Flash Is definitely hard for me at first but if no one tells me how to work with it then I won't really understand I can understand only if people tell me how to do it step by step. At first Flash was hard but not anymore on at the beginning of something new from Flash .

Yes, Flash was very fun to work with my favorite part of Flash is making buttons that's the easiest and funnest part of all flash.

Feelings About Flash

What has been hard for me in Flash its when I don't understand what they say because they say it too fast and that makes me loose the instructions and don't know what to do.

The second problem that I have when I'm working in Flash is when I can't find something in my Flash file that I need, to go on into the next demo.

I think that something that can be done in classroom to help me understand or learn Flash is to maybe take it easy and go step by step so none of the students get lost or don't know what to do, I say that because sometimes the teacher goes by fast and then suddenly the students are asking for help. The other way that they can do it is to give the students an agenda every day( not to forget and tell them what to do exactly by step.

I think that it is very important to remember the coding of Flash because, we are on our way to creating our game in Flash, so we totally need to remember it because then how are we going to make our game if we don't even know or remember our Flash learning's.

The other reason why it is important for you to remember the coding of Flash is because maybe next year or some other year in you re life you might need something that has to do with Flash and you know that you know some, so that will help you.

If I feel that Flash is hard now and how will I make sure that I get the training right, would be that I would stay after school with a school Flash expert (teacher,student or just someone) and tell them to teach me the whole coding of Flash.

I definitely think that I don't get distracted by distractions in the class because I always want to do everything right and not loose the instructions. Distractions don't keep me from learning it , It makes me understand better because the teacher has to deal with it and I get a little bit of time to make sure that I did the correct thing.

I think that the videos that Globaloria created for us was awesome and helpful because whenever we don't understand something when we are doing Flash than we can just go to the videos and watch them. The reason why I think they are helpful is because they do it step by step and that helps me a lot. I like teacher's to teach me step by step because it's easier for me to work with Flash. I suggest that they do this more often.

I feel great about Flash because it is so freakin cool you can do a lot of animation there, now that I have learned how to work with Flash then I'm going to buy the program to put it on my computer at home so I can get better at it.

I say a big YES! that Flash will help me on in my future because if I don't make my career as a pastry chef, than I can become a Flash expert and maybe I get a good job In flash, become a technology expert because they pay you some good cash.

It will also help me In my future because if I have kids and they are working in Flash with it maybe I can teach them the whole Flash because they'll be like me If they can't find a job or make it to their career, they'll just know that they have something that they are good at.

The other way how it will help me on in my future is that maybe I can teach my sister over the summer so she can be ready for next year and don't have any trouble with Flash.

The Globaloria Visit

At first when I entered the Globaloria room I thought it was going to be boring and fun, but no It wasn't like that It was great I really liked being with her and her instructioning us because we had been waiting for Ms.Miller to upload our Flash since yesterday, so I'm telling the truth, I really liked it because she made us get everything in our wiki page and get everything we had to do into the wiki. I did learn something from her, I learned that if we work hard and do it quickly and not get distracted we will get everything done.

I think that this will help me on my future because when ever I need to upload something to my wiki page I don't have to ask Ms.Miller about It- I just go do it by myself and then she'll be proud of me for doing this. It will also help me because when ever a student doesn't know how to upload files to their wiki, so I tell them that I can help them upload files.

At The Presentation

It was awesome and great being at the presentation. It was awesome because with the money we get, we get to have some fun by helping the community and doing our projects. Most importantly I really want to thank State Farm for all the grant that they gave us , to me that means a lot and a great gift for Eacpa, I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT THANKS A LOT-STATE FARM. With the 100 thousandth dollars we get to achieve our dreams and help ourselves achieve them. Now this is what happens we children are good and they go to the bestest school ever in town. I am very proud of the whole south west key programs inc. I think that eacpa rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are the best in town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I think that we should use the money that they gave us to accomplish our dreams. I am also very proud of Dr. Sanchez because thanks to him kids get to have a good education and go to college, He helps us go to college and get a good education. I think that every kid deserves a good education and not a school drop-out.
