Game Paper Prototype

Making my game paper prototype is always the best thing in making a game. Paper is where all my mind is storage. I get to draw and do exactly what my game will look like. At first I wasn't sure what the whole point of my game was, I was confused and didn't know what to do. Therefore, drawing the paper prototype helped me because I started to realize what was happening as I drew along and took the role of the future player. I also realized that I wasn't going to make sense if the player didn't know what was the main idea of the game, It could be fun but not have any educational value.

Game Learning Topic

The Game topic I chose for my game is a disorder that affects many woman. There is no cause for this disorder but it is thought to happen because of genetics. This disease is called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, it is when there is an imbalance of hormones in a women's body. 

I chose this topic because a certain person in my life is dealing with this disorder. She didn't know she had this disorder until she found out in a women's health book. The main reason why I chose this topic is because  I want to help women be aware of this disorder, maybe get a checkup because you never know if you have it. 

I will use moving to set aside the unhealthy objects that can increase your chance of developing cancer or diabetes if you are not taking care of your health. Setting aside the unhealthy objects will help the player know what not to eat in reality to stay healthy. Collecting healthy foods will let know the player what to eat and what she might want to keep in her kitchen for a better future.

Planing Game Scene

I imagine the player, a girl which most likely play this game will enter the kitchen. She has PCOS and needs to take care of herself as soon as possible. The doctor has told her about several of the foods she has to avoid for some symptoms to go away. She enters the kitchen and she must be able to choose the right food to consume in order to stay healthy and avoid an increase chance of having diabetes. Sh

Imagine Team Game

Who: Young ladies, age 12 and up

What: The player will learn all about Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Why it happens and what can she can do to treat herself right.

Where: My game takes place in the kitchen. There will be all sorts of foods in the kitchen that will possibly tempt the player to eat although they are to be avoided. The bad food will be labeled yellow for their high percentage in fat. Healthy food that is good for you, specially if you have this disorder will be labeled green.

My game teaches the player by taking her into the kitchen and helping her choose the right food for her body to be treated right. The bad food will have to set aside from the kitchen or be thrown away.

Playstation 4

I am sure you didn't ask for my opinion but oh well. I've never been interested in the video game field or whatever you decide to call this entertainment. I do love when new, advanced technology comes out because it inspires me. Anyways, as I was saying, I am excited for the fans who await for the device. I can't really say much because from 1-10, I know 1% about the Playstation 4. I don't know how the last versions of it were either. Although I like the new features it has such as: a touchscreen, fancy camera, headphone jack, etc. I hope everything goes well for SONY, may they sell many! Gaming Device Fans, please try to get     this new version.That's it.........

Lorraine Hansberry: Playwright and Author

Lorraine Hansberry was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 19th, 1930. She was the first black playwright and the youngest American to win a New York's Critics Circle Award. She was heavily involved in Civil Rights. She died at 34 of pancreatic cancer. Lorraine was the grand daughter of a freed slave. Her father was a real estate broker and her mother was a school teacher. Her parents contributed large amounts of money to the NAACP and the Urban league. She studied writing at the University of Wisconsin but dropped out after 2 years to move to New York City. In New York she studied Social Research, after that she quit her jobs and dedicate her life to writing. She died on January 12, 1965 of Pancreatic Cancer.
